Tamás Szilágyi - Triathlon athlets
I am Tamás Szilágyi from Kaposvár, a 33-year-old father of 3 children, and a civil engineer by education.
Although competitive sports were out of my reach as a child, for as long as I can remember, most of my leisure time has been spent playing some kind of sport. It could be soccer, kayaking, gymnastics, gym training, road cycling, running, (swimming) or anything else, but I always wanted to improve myself in some form of exercise.
I was introduced to triathlon in 2014, not quite as I should have been, right away with a long distance (preceded by a not-so-large amount of preparation), after a friend and I discussed at an evening gathering that we should do an Ironman someday. In the last third, my smile wasn't so sincere, but the next day I was longing for the (good) feelings of the previous day again, so I stayed in this sport.
The development in triathlon was "slightly" interrupted between 2019 and 2023 by the arrival of 3 children and the construction of a family house, but in 2024 we managed to reintegrate a more understandable amount of sport (40-65 hours per month) alongside work and now family, which led to the following great results in 2024:
- eXtremeMan long-distance triathlon OB: absolute 3rd place.
- BalatonMan long-distance triathlon competition: absolute 1st place.
- eXtremeMan middle distance duathlon OB: abs 1st place.
In terms of my own sporting goals, I would like to continue to improve and achieve further great results at home and now at the international level in age groups as long as time, family, and body allow, while I hope to set an example for those around me to follow, and sooner or later I would like to embark on a coaching journey.
I've known the Hammer Nutrition brand for a while, but unfortunately I only looked into their products in more detail last year. Since then, I've known that I need Hammer to get the most out of myself, as the composition of their products is outstanding on the market, not to mention that many special products can only be found in their range.
