BENEFITS

16 vegetables, fruits, algae and herbs in one daily serving

A varied, vegetable-rich diet takes time and attention – on busy weekdays or during a hard training block, it’s easy to end up with fewer greens on your plate than you’d like. Hammer Greens brings 16 plant ingredients together in one easy-to-dose superfood blend: vegetables, fruits, algae, plant fibres and herbs.

  • 16 “superfoods” in one: alfalfa, barley grass, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, kale, spinach, beetroot, spirulina, chlorella, apple fibre and apple pectin, pineapple, artichoke, parsley and horsetail.
  • Greens made simple: one serving of powder or 6 capsules – even when there’s no time for a full, vegetable-rich meal.
  • Natural sources of plant compounds: the green leafy vegetables, algae and fruits bring polyphenols, carotenoids (such as lutein and beta-carotene), chlorophyll and natural nitrates into the blend.
  • Powder or capsules: mix the powder into a drink, or take the flavourless capsules wherever you go. Both come in 30 servings.
  • Clean formula: vegan, gluten-free; the capsules are made without added sugar, the powder is flavoured with monk fruit.

What is it used for?

  • On busy days and when travelling: when fewer fresh vegetables and fruits make it into your diet.
  • During hard training blocks: as part of your daily routine, alongside your other foundation supplements – such as Premium Insurance Caps and EndurOmega.
  • Alongside a plant-based diet: for vegans and vegetarians too.

Hammer Greens complements, but does not replace, whole vegetables and fruits – in our view, they remain the foundation of a balanced diet.

HAMMER GREENS FAQS

Powder or capsules – which should I choose?

The two have almost identical compositions; the powder serving is slightly larger (5 g versus 6 capsules). You can mix the powder into water or another drink – your morning smoothie, for example; the capsules need no mixing, and you won’t taste the characteristic flavour of the vegetables. Both come in 30 servings; the powder is also available in single-serve packets.

How much fibre is in one serving?

Each serving contains about 3 g of fibre – mainly from the apple fibre, apple pectin and vegetable powders.

Is Hammer Greens alkaline or acidic?

The blend has a neutral (approx. pH 7.0) or slightly alkaline pH.

Does it contain nitrates?

Yes: 12 of the 16 ingredients – including beet juice, kale and spinach – are natural sources of nitrates or arginine. The body converts nitrates and arginine into nitric oxide (NO). If this topic interests you, take a look at Amino Age too, which contains L-citrulline.

Is it good for the gut flora?

15 of the 16 ingredients – such as apple pectin, apple fibre, asparagus and artichoke – contain fibres and plant substances that serve as food for your gut bacteria. In our view, a varied, fibre-rich diet is your gut flora’s best friend.

Is it certified organic?

No, it is not certified organic. We source the raw materials from US suppliers who provide a certificate of analysis for every batch, and the finished product undergoes independent laboratory microbiological testing (Salmonella, E. coli, total plate count).

Who is it not recommended for?

Because of the natural vitamin K content of the green leafy ingredients (alfalfa, kale, spinach, parsley), if you take anticoagulants, use it only with your doctor’s approval. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, take medication or have a known medical condition, consult your doctor before use.

Are Hammer Nutrition supplements tested by an independent laboratory?

Yes. Our supplements are made in accordance with US dietary supplement manufacturing regulations (21 CFR 111): every raw material used is tested for purity, potency, identity and integrity, and checked at every stage of production – blending, encapsulation, packaging materials and finished product – before it is released for sale.

HOW TO USE

Capsules: 6 capsules daily, with a meal.

Powder: mix 5 g of powder (1 scoop or 1 packet) daily into about 250 ml of water or another drink – a smoothie, for example – and take it with a meal.

If you take anticoagulants, use only with your doctor’s approval.

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN

Alfalfa grass powder – Made from the leafy shoots of alfalfa. It naturally contains vitamin K, as well as saponins, coumarins, flavonoids and phytosterols.

Apple fibre – Contains both soluble and insoluble fibre. Soluble fibre forms a gel-like substance with water, while insoluble fibre adds bulk to the intestinal contents.

Apple pectin – A soluble fibre extracted from apple peel, which also serves as food for gut bacteria.

Asparagus powder – Contains quercetin and other polyphenols (gallic acid, chlorogenic acid, coumaric acid, ferulic acid), vitamins A, C, E and K, and fibre.

Barley grass powder – Contains mainly insoluble fibre, polyphenols, vitamins C and K, and amino acids.

Beet juice powder – Perhaps the best-known natural source of nitrates; the body converts nitrate into nitric oxide (NO). It also contains betalains, the red pigments of beetroot.

Broccoli – Rich in glucoraphanin, from which sulforaphane is formed in the body; it also contains lutein and zeaxanthin.

Brussels sprout powder – Its main bioactive compounds are glucosinolates. It also contains vitamins C and K, folate and carotenoids (beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin).

Chlorella – A single-celled freshwater green alga and one of the most nutrient-dense “green foods”: it contains B vitamins, beta-carotene and lutein.

Horsetail – A herb known for its natural silicon content; it also contains flavonoids, phenolic acids and phytosterols.

Artichoke powder – A nutrient-rich vegetable with a wide range of plant compounds.

Kale leaf powder – Rich in polyphenols and flavonoids (mainly quercetin and kaempferol); it also contains beta-carotene, vitamins C and K and – like beetroot – natural nitrates.

Parsley leaf powder – Among its plant compounds, myricetin and apigenin are the best known.

Pineapple – Alongside flavonoids and other phenolic compounds, it also contains bromelain, an enzyme involved in breaking down proteins.

Spinach leaf powder – Contains vitamins C and K, folate, iron and calcium, as well as lutein, zeaxanthin and natural nitrates.

Spirulina – A blue-green microalga that many call the “superfood of superfoods”: it contains chlorophyll, phycocyanin and many other plant compounds.

Maltodextrin, monk fruit extract (powder only) – For flavour and mixability. Hypromellose (capsules only) – the plant-based capsule shell.
